Scott literally grew up in the entertainment world starting in theater at age eight where his mother co-founded a community theater.

Over 25 years later, he is still dazzling the entertainment world with his creative lighting expertise working in television, film, theater, concerts, and event lighting design for projects such as, Empire, Chicago Fire, Batman V Superman, just to name a few (see compilation of work).

Early on Scott studied for two years in technical theater at Shenandoah University before transferring to Ferris State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Television Production.

Following his passion he devoted every waking moment working as a lighting operator, lighting designer, stage manager or assistant director for Ferris State theater productions.

Scott's extensive hands-on work in lighting design began at

STAGE-M, a community theater in Michigan where he was the lighting designer for over 20 years.

Since arriving in Chicago 18 years ago, Scott has continued to live his passion while building upon his knowledge and experience with designing or co-designing on innovative projects in the entertainment industry.
